Rustic Autumn - Large Lidded Pot

Have you ever wanted to own a piece of wood-turned art that has been sculpted for your entertainment? All of my pieces have been made with the love and passion I have for nature and unlocking the beauty within the materials I use. Each Harry Smith original leaves my workshop with a part of my soul embedded in it, my favourite part is making a piece of wood something it was always meant to be, art.
 
So this piece of English Oak has been outside for a while now... I'm sure you could tell. I was never 100% sure of what I wanted to do with it, but the idea came to mind when I started turning. I didn't want to waste the angled part at the top so decided to make it a feature. The bread bin has been sanded to 10000 grit and finished with Danish oil and Wood wax. The main body is English oak, the lid is Sapele, and the handle is Blackwood.
